The idea of possibly having undergound cities and indeed bunkers to avoid death by nuclear bombs and climate change at its worst is a big but ill explored area. Such places should also be designed in areas of the world where there is a low if not "zero" risk from earhtquakes and even if they were to happen they would be able to largely srurvive and withstand serious tremors with the right engineering designs.
